US Sales Representative

The Job

K-12 Analytics has been selling Staffing Plus, since 2005, and sales have grown steadily over the years. The product provides school districts with the essential tools they need to make better staffing and resource allocation decisions, while saving them considerable time and effort vs conventional spreadsheet approaches.

We are looking for great sales people to expand the customer base into new geographic areas throughout North America. You're likely to be self-directed and able to throw initiative at problems. You're also likely to be cheerful and keen to work with others. Relevant software sales or technology experience would to be very helpful, but not required. If you've worked in a school district environment, and are familiar with how school districts operate, though you don't have a technology background, that's okay. You might be the right person for us.

Our sales approach is strictly win-win: we don't want customers who aren't extremely happy with our products, and we expect 100% honesty and ethical behavior in everything we do.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of sales experience, preferably in a school district or government environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate prospects.
  • Experience with phone sales.
  • Experience with, and interest in, various facets of technology a plus.
  • 4-year college degree.

Other Skills

  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Strong ability to work independently and use initiative in getting things done.
  • Internally motivated with a strong sense of ethics and responsibility.
  • People-oriented, positive and friendly on the phone, (and the rest of the time too!).
  • Basic familiarity with business applications; email, MS Word, Excel, the web, etc.
